Spring Assembly
Task
- Inserting springs into holes in a spring assembly machine
- High performance requirements
- low space consumption
Solution
- A customer-specific linear motor axis with a length of 240cm serves 8 paralell standing processing stations with workpieces
- The machining stations each consist of a linear motor axis HN and a mounted rotary unit ST and move the workpiece to the appropriate positions for the drilling hole assembly with springs
- Insertion frequency is 600 springs per minute
Benefits
- High cycle rate with an assembly frequency of 600 springs and a high life expectancy requirement of 30 million cycles.
- Low space requirement with 8 parallel machining stations with 24 axes on six square meters
- Pre-assembled system components for easy installation and shortened commissioning.
