WEISS Technology Foundation to participate in Code Week BW for the first time in 2024
Code Week BW is part of the Germany-wide Code Week and an annual event where hundreds of people and initiatives across Europe get children and young people excited about the digital world. This year, Code Week will take place from October 12 to 27.
As part of Code Week, the WEISS Technology Foundation is offering two free robotics workshops:
1. Open workshop for children aged 7 to 12 years
2. Workshop with a primary school class
Both workshops are aimed at children without advanced programming skills. No material has to be brought along, as we receive tablets and robots for the programming tasks thanks to the cooperation with the district media center of the Neckar-Odenwald district.
Workshop: Discover the world of robots.
Content:
In this exciting workshop, we will explore the fascinating world of robots and how they work together. At the beginning, we clarify what exactly a robot is and what is meant by an algorithm. We learn how to communicate with robots and put this into practice. With playful applications and practical exercises, the children discover how robots work and how they can be programmed. By the end of the workshop, all participants will have a first understanding of robotics and algorithms and will know how to interact with robots in creative ways.
