- Custom machine with five WEISS rotary tables on a footprint of just 5 m2
- Combination of fixed-cycle TCs and user-programmable NC tables
- Short travel times of half a second with a cycle time of four seconds
The custom machine builder Grün & Köder GmbH had very specific requirements for its new assembly system for fitting sealing rings on diesel injection pumps: two material flows, 27 processing stations and 76 workpiece holders had to be accommodated in a small space – along with a number of testing and measurement steps.
Space-saving compact design: the five WEISS rotary indexing tables used in the assembly system require a footprint of as little as 5m². The combination of fixed-cycle TCs and user-programmable NC tables is perfectly matched to the requirements for the assembly of sealing rings. The sealing ring blanks are processed, tested, rejected and fitted at a total number of 27 stations. The fifth rotary indexing table serves as a magazine.
