Machine data plays a central role in increasing efficiency, improving product quality and for more sustainable automation of production. With the WEISS Hackathon Vol. 3, the WEISS Technology Foundation underscores the growing importance of machine data in the industrial environment and enables students to engage with this groundbreaking topic in an application-oriented manner. Specifically, they are to make the condition data of a production plant usable. In the end, solutions should be available with which machine operators can achieve the necessary transparency, for example, to tap optimization potential.

As in the past two years, the WEISS Hackathon Vol. 03 brings together students from different disciplines. In small teams, intensively supervised by experts, they develop business models, programs and an optimal UX design. Since the challenge is not specified in detail, the students can fully contribute their creativity. Basic programming and UX knowledge is necessary for successful participation.

The results will be presented to a jury on the final day, September 21. The winning team of the Challenge will receive 1,000 Euros, and second place will be awarded 500 Euros. In addition to the joint work, the supporting program during the hackathon will also provide plenty of shared fun. In addition, this event offers the young talents the chance to make personal contacts with various WEISS employees and gain insights into the company.

The hackathon will take place at the WEISS company premises in Walldürn, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Interested parties can apply by August 18 at hackathon.weiss-technology-stiftung.de.
