Automated Laser Cutting of Solid-State Batteries

Technical foils perform important tasks within battery solutions.

The special machine manufacturer Zenna Laser from the Netherlands has developed a system for cutting these sensitive foils for solid-state batteries. The automated system is based on the LS One direct-drive linear transfer system from WEISS.

Not only did LS One make it possible to represent the entire process in the smallest possible area. LS One saved the Dutch company a lot of time, both during the plant design and during commissioning. The direct-drive linear transfer system is delivered pre-configured, pre-parameterized and commissioned in advance by WEISS.

In addition, LS One is specially designed for tasks that require the highest degree of precision and flexibility. Thanks to the linear motors, high dynamics and a freely selectable movement profile are possible. This means that the system can still be adapted to changing requirements during the project.
