Accuracy in the μ Range

Task

In microscopy, more and more automated solutions are needed where the human being no longer examines the specimens, but where this is done using imaging techniques. Here, the sample is taken through an objective lens and the resulting image is analyzed using AI. Here the throughput can be increased significantly.

Solution

In many cases, an XY system with transmitted light is required, since the sample to be examined is larger than the image area of the objective. The sample surface is either scanned piece by piece and the individual images are digitally reassembled (stitching) or the image is taken in a continuous movement, e.g. with a line scan camera (meander scan). Important for stitching is the position stability during the recording, for meanderscan it is important that the movement is as constant as possible and that the tracking error is as low as possible. The cross table MK is used.

Benefits

  • Standard precision product cross table MK for transmitted light applications in micro manufacturing
  • Constant speed paired with fast step & settle times and high position stability at standstill allow sharp and high-resolution images
