Task

Dispensing of microdroplets maintaining an accuracy of a few µm using a precision linear system on a granite base

Solution

• A precision linear system with granite substructure was used for the dispensing process. This solution achieves optimum rigidity, even over several axes and enables us to position to steps of 1µm in a stable manner.
• For the assembly and alignment system, standard linear axes combined with a rotary unit are used for part alignment.
• Communication between the higher-level PLC and axis systems takes place via a WEISS control package with its own software with specially adapted protocol
