WEISS Hackathon Vol. 2: Connectivity solutions for the industrial environment wanted

What is already reality in the private sector today thanks to WLAN or Bluetooth is set to become the daily routine in the industrial production of tomorrow. The WEISS Technology Foundation is hosting its second hackathon and looking for connectivity solutions for industrial production facilities. From September 20-22, 2022, students can develop models and present them to a panel of judges. The winners will receive an attractive prize. The deadline for registration is September 1, 2022.

At home, most electronic devices recognize each other and communicate with each other. But in complex production facilities, the individual components first have to be connected through a complex process. This coordination at the mechanical level and the control level is essential for a process to run smoothly. Like in days past, the time required for commissioning, maintenance, and other downtimes still needs to be optimized.

From September 20-22, 2022, WEISS invites students from a wide variety of subject areas to design connectivity solutions for production facilities. The event focuses on networking the components and also on addressing and communicating with them. Suitable coding is just as important as optimal UX design. On top of that, business model ideas are being sought for usable applications, packages, and platforms. The hackathon will take place at the WEISS company site in Walldürn, Germany. The deadline for registration is August 1, 2022. Participants will work in teams. Individual registrations are welcome, as teams can come together directly at the start of the hackathon. At the end of the hackathon, the results will be presented to a panel of judges and the winners will receive an attractive prize.
