Spring Assembly

Task

  • Inserting springs into holes in a spring assembly machine
  • High performance requirements
  • low space consumption

Solution

  • A customer-specific linear motor axis with a length of 240cm serves 8 paralell standing processing stations with workpieces
  • The machining stations each consist of a linear motor axis HN and a mounted rotary unit ST and move the workpiece to the appropriate positions for the drilling hole assembly with springs
  • Insertion frequency is 600 springs per minute

Benefits

  • High cycle rate with an assembly frequency of 600 springs and a high life expectancy requirement of 30 million cycles.
  • Low space requirement with 8 parallel machining stations with 24 axes on six square meters
  • Pre-assembled system components for easy installation and shortened commissioning.
