Multi-axis system for optical inspection of surgical needles

Solution

• Standard products Pick&Place Module HP, linear motor axes HN and HG and Torque Turning Unit ST have been assembled into a system for optical inspection of surgical needles 
• A glass plate is mounted on the ST75 rotary unit. On this plate there are freely movable needles, which are optically inspected from both sides
• The needles must not move during positioning, which is ensured by an adapted movement profile in the table
• The WEISS control package with its own software enables fast commissioning
